Leghold Traps

Animals used for fur are often trapped by the steel-jaw leghold trap.
The jaws of the trap slams shut on the victim's leg, or other body part,
in a vice-like grip causing the animal to frantically pull against the trap
in a desperate attempt to free themselves.

Some animals will even chew or twist their limbs off to get free.

Leghold traps often traps cats, dogs and even humans.

A trapper with a registered line has up to 3 days to check leghold traps on private property trappers, leaving the trapped animals to suffer for days.
