Facts
about the Milk You Drink
Very few milk cows ever graze on green pastures. It's
much cheaper to confine animals to feed lots than to buy
the land needed for grazing. These cows never see a single
blade of grass.
Growth
hormones and unnatural milking schedules cause their teats
to become swollen, sore, and sometimes infected, resulting
in frequent infections and overuse of antibiotics.
When
a dairy cow has stopped producing milk, she goes to slaughter.
