ABOUT
THE PIGS YOU EAT...
Pigs
are intelligent, sensitive, and clean active animals.
The
confined cages that pigs are raised in are torture for
these intelligent animals. Their excrement damages their
lungs, as its rarely if ever cleaned up.
The
cages are all made of metal, and the pigs are never in
contact with any natural fibers they like to play with.
Being
a very playful species, the pigs turn neurotic and bite
each others tails. Instead of letting the pigs play and
get exercise, the farmers solve this problem by teeth
clipping and cutting off their tails.
Although
innumerable drugs (which you end up eating) are given
to pigs throughout their lives, anesthetics or pain relievers
are not one of them. |
