Veal
calves are the males taken after birth from milking
cows.They
are raised in tiny crates for 2 1/2 months to prevent
the calf from having any exercise, thus producing tender
meat. Calves are not even able to turn around or walk.
Sometimes they have no room to lie down.
Dairy
cows are artificially inseminated and, after giving
birth, are milked for several years until their production
levels drop, then they are slaughtered.
Dairy
cows are fed synthetic hormones to increase growth and
production. They are given antibiotics to avoid sickness
(not treat sickness) because they're kept in very unhealthy
and confined environments.
